scarier than Sadako, creepier than Kayako
nothing beats a near death experience of a close relative and in your face 2 inches away from the almost corpse of a close relative. i don’t think i’d ever forget this horrifying event (though i’d like to very much, and is also why i would never reread this blog entry). It was yesterday, my cousin Nini and i were watching Pretty Cure (this kawaii shojou anime on Hero) at our grandma;s room which is almost immediately infront of the living room if the bathroom wasn’t there (ahem going back). Suddenly my cousin Paeg came burstin in the room but stopped suddenly and we heard peeple screaming from outside. I asked "Bakit?" and Paeng said "Si kuya Harvey" and so immediately Nini and I rushed to the living room. We know that when someone says "Si Harvey" in a rushed terrified manner it could only mean my cousin Harvey is having another convulsion attack. When i got there (in what 2 seconds?) My relatives were screaming "Harvey Harvey!!" at my cousin who was still seated infront of the mah jong table convulsing. He was really shaking madly, eyes half closed, his mouth was frozen and an orange slime was almost coming out, he was making eerie noises like he was choking or being possesed. He was turning blue by the second!Tito Vic was holding shut his mouth so he wouln’t bite his tongue. i rushed back into the room and looked for a piece of wood… i found a brush…that was not used but not vry clean either. He made harvey bite Junior’s cellphone instead. We were all panicking which was the number one No no in these events. Then someone said "Ihiga niyo siya!" So Ate Joyce and Kuya Ryan (my older siblings) layed the shaking harvey on the sala floor, as they did something crashed (my mom’s glass thingy a few feet away, but no one minded of course). Harvey’s attack was slowing down but he was now in a very dark color of blue.. an almost black shade. Tita offie was massaging his frozen legs and Nini immediately held a small electric fan on to harvey’s face. My mind was racing, it was saying ‘Shit! not like this, not now! do it! do it! you learned it in your first year, do it! he is going to die!’ when harvey stopped moving you could almost hear an imaginary toooooot the device hospitals have that indicate the pulse rate of the patient and a long toot sound means no pulse or d**th. Then i just did CPR or what i remembered of it. my pumpings didn’t help much since harvey was really thick. Kuya Ryan took over but he pumped near the stomach so i said "dito" and pointed at harvey’s heart. I told ate joyce "hingan mo!" because i really can’t bring myself to do AR to harvey’s black lips with orange slime. "wag mong i pump kapag hihingahan na ni ate joyce" i told kuya ryan. after i think 3 cycles harvey was already breathing on his own and color came rushing back to his face. we were all relived. We moved him to his side so he could spit out what was in his mouth. Then after that he slept for a couple of minutes on the floor. This they said was the effect of a convulsion, a very tired harvey and a bunch of faint relatives. When he finally got the strength to stand he went to the bathroom to pee (which he said he had no recollection of) and finally went into lola’s room to sleep. i stayed with him for a couple of minutes still shaken. I looked at the clock… it was 10:50 ..it all happened for only about 10 minutes… 10 horrifying minutes…. i said a short thank you prayer … these things really make you thankful for every single moment of your life. i swear i felt death lurking during those 10 minutes and even until i fell asleep that night. yesterday was also the day i asked my dad to hang up my acrylic painting of Death of the Endless on my bedroom wall. I tried to avoid looking at it after that ordeal… i know it had nothing to do with what happened. Oh yeah the real reason was because he lacked sleep for the past couple of days. poor julia (my 1 year old godchild) i think she was traumatized by what happened because she saw harvey from the begining of his attack. She cries immediately when Robin (another cousin of mine) fakes an attack. Ate joyce was asking for her 5 pesos from Harvey when it happened. @_@
later that afternoon we watched our old VHS tapes… it was fun watching ourselves when we were small.. but creepy watching some of the people in the tapes who are already dead now.
